Loudoun County has published the recipients of 15 Restricted Transient Occupancy Tax Tourism Grants for fiscal year 2027. The Board of Supervisors approved awards totaling $346,980.40 for events and initiatives intended to attract visitors to the county.
The official list identifies each recipient, the amount awarded and the activity the money will support. Examples include the Crossroads Music Festival in downtown Leesburg, the Tarara Summer Concert Series, an all-night Indian classical music concert, an agritourism platform and tour program, sports events, equestrian activities and historical or cultural programming.
For hotels, restaurants, retailers, venues, transportation providers, production companies and other service businesses, the list is a public planning reference. It shows which named organizations and projects received county tourism funding for the fiscal year. A business can review the official descriptions to determine whether an event or initiative is relevant to its own outreach, staffing, purchasing or partnership planning.
The award decision does not establish that a funded event will reach a particular attendance level, produce a stated amount of visitor spending or create business for a specific vendor. The county’s announcement describes the intended use of the grant funds; it is not a forecast of commercial results.
The list also should not be treated as an open procurement or application notice. A grant award to an organization does not mean that it is currently seeking vendors, sponsors or partners. Businesses interested in working with a recipient would need to confirm the organization’s plans and any available opportunities directly.
Loudoun’s broader Tourism Grant Program is designed to support projects that bring visitors to the county, increase hotel stays and strengthen the county’s appeal as a destination. The fiscal year 2027 list records the projects selected in the completed cycle. Businesses using it for planning should rely on the county’s full award announcement and avoid assumptions not stated in the official descriptions.
